How much gap is accepted for study in the USA?

A one-year gap is acceptable for a USA study visa. For gaps longer than one year, you must justify the reason to avoid rejection from the university or visa embassy. Medical reports, short courses, work experience, and volunteering are the most common reasons to justify your study gap.
